Work-Study

 

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program is a federally funded program that allows the college to employ undergraduate and graduate students for part time positions on campus. Students who are awarded Work-Study in their financial aid package may request placement at The Children's Center. They are required to complete an interview and all other screening as required by NYS OCFS. Students eligible for Work-Study are those that complete their FAFSA early, display the most financial need, and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Purchase College awards a starting hourly pay wage of $8.00, paid every 2 weeks. Students will work no more than 8 hours per week. Students who were not awarded Work-Study in their financial aid award letter can email workstudy@purchase.edu to be placed on the Work-Study waiting list.
